How to become a member of SW VA AUXCOMM?
To become a member, you must hold a valid amateur radio license and have an interest in emergency communications. For more information on getting your ham radio license, click here.
SW VA AUXCOMM has three levels of membership based on level of training:
- Trainee: Must hold a valid amateur radio license.
- Intermediate: Complete the ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 courses. These are free and available online.
- Full Membership: Complete the AUXCOMM class and be working toward completion of the task book.
