Auxiliary Communications (AUXCOMM) is subgroup under the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) dedicated to conducting emergency communication services. This initiative involves volunteers and organizations providing critical communication support during emergencies.
What is the Southwest Virginia AUXCOMM Association?
The Southwest Virginia AUXCOMM Association is a group of volunteer amateur radio operators established in the southwest region of Virginia that operate under the umbrella of AUXCOMM. Our goal is to provide communications in time of disaster to our local communities and surrounding areas. We also participate in public service events and provide communications for safety and information sharing purposes.
